This Smith & Wesson Model 6906 is a Third Generation compact 9mm built with a stainless slide over an aluminum-alloy frame in a durable two-tone finish. It features a 3.5 in barrel, DA/SA operation with an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, and a double-stack 12+1 capacity. Fixed low-profile 3-dot sights and a one-piece wraparound synthetic grip provide a straightforward, practical setup. Made in the United States, it includes one 12-round magazine and a Fobus SG-21 paddle holster.
The stainless slide has rear cocking serrations and an external extractor, while the natural-color alloy frame carries the rounded trigger guard later pattern and vertical front-strap serrations. Model marking "Mod. 6906" is on the frame, and the barrel is marked "9MM PARABELLUM."
Its DA/SA system pairs with a spurred hammer for traditional operation, and multiple safety features are built in: an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker, a firing pin block, and a magazine disconnect safety.
Fixed 3-dot sights consist of a post front and a low-profile rear, and the one-piece wraparound textured synthetic grip offers a secure, uniform hold. The compact size and 3.5 in barrel make this a well-balanced Third Generation S&W configuration.
