    What’s Included

    • Remington Rand M1911A1 pistol
    • 1x 7-round M1911 steel magazine (GI-style; witness holes visible)
    • USGI M1916 leather flap holster with "US" oval embossing; interior inked "CHARLES BUGG 15530471"

Produced in 1943, this Remington Rand M1911A1 carries the two-line "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A." slide rollmark associated with wartime manufacture. The pistol retains the parkerized (phosphate) matte gray finish on its forged steel slide and frame.

U.S. military markings are present, including "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY" on the frame. Inspection and acceptance stamps include the boxed FJA initials and the Ordnance crossed cannons. The chamber is marked "COLT .45 AUTO," indicating a Colt-manufactured barrel.

The configuration is correct for a GI M1911A1: full-size frame, 5-inch barrel, short trigger, M1911A1 relief cuts behind the trigger, arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, standard checkered thumb safety and slide stop, and a wide spur checkered hammer. Sighting equipment is the GI pattern with a staked front blade and fixed rear notch.

It operates on the classic single-action, short-recoil, tilting-barrel system with grip safety, manual thumb safety, inertial firing pin, and a half-cock notch. Brown fully checkered synthetic grips with reinforcement rings complete the period-correct appearance.

Included accessories add practical and historical interest: one 7-round GI-style steel magazine with witness holes and a USGI M1916 leather flap holster with the "US" oval embossing and interior inked name/number notation.
