The 92FS features a DA/SA, short-recoil, locked-breech operating system with a spurred hammer and the Beretta locking-block design. Controls include ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker levers, a reversible magazine release, and an automatic firing-pin block. The non-railed dust cover retains the classic 92 profile.
The open-top slide has a matte black Bruniton finish with fixed integral front sight and a dovetailed, drift-adjustable rear sight in a 3-dot configuration. Slide legends and safety warnings are present. The frame is aluminum alloy with a matching matte black finish, a vertically serrated front strap with a vertically serrated backstrap, and a squared, serrated trigger guard.
The 4.9 inch steel barrel is chrome-lined and marked PB 9x19. Italian proof and inspection marks appear on the frame, along with a Made in Italy marking and a BERETTA USA CORP. ACKK., MD import stamp. The slide carries an IT16 stamp, adding clear identification to its origin and production context.
Checkered black polymer grips with Beretta medallions complete the package. Capacity is 15+1 rounds, and the pistol includes three factory-style double-stack magazines to support range or duty use.
