The revolver is built with a 1215 steel barrel and a blued/black steel cylinder paired to a gray, mottled case-hardened–style (simulated color-case) Zamak 5 alloy frame. The 4.75 inch barrel length and fixed blade/notch sights deliver a traditional single-action revolver profile suited to the platform’s classic handling.
Controls and features are straightforward and period-correct, including a serrated spur hammer and a manual hammer-block safety. The six-shot fluted cylinder feeds via a loading gate, and the ejector rod uses a knurled button for positive extraction.
The two-piece checkered wood grip panels include inlaid 'U.S.' medallions, adding a distinctive visual detail. Finish consistency across the dark blued/black barrel and cylinder and the gray, mottled case-hardened–style frame presents a cohesive appearance.
Factory markings are clear and legible: the barrel reads 'HERITAGE ROUGH RIDER .22 CAL' and 'KEEP EMPTY CHAMBER UNDER HAMMER'; the left-side frame states 'READ MANUAL BEFORE USING'; the right-side frame is marked 'HERITAGE MFG. BAINBRIDGE, GA.' The revolver is made in the USA and configured in the Rough Rider Small-Bore series.
