The Gold Hunter uses a gas-operated, short-stroke piston with Browning's Active Valve self-adjusting gas system. It also features Browning's Speed Loading capability, combining fast operation with a proven semi-automatic action.
The 26" barrel is back-bored and fitted with the Invector-Plus choke system. A ventilated rib and single brass bead front sight provide a clean sighting plane. The chamber is 3" for versatility with 12 gauge loads.
The receiver is a lightweight aluminum alloy with a matte black finish, matched to an overall matte black and polished blue finish. Capacity is 4+1.
Furniture consists of high-gloss walnut for the stock and forend, with cut checkering, a pistol-grip profile, and a ventilated recoil pad. Controls include a single, gold-colored trigger and a cross-bolt safety. Length of pull is 14.1. Manufactured in 1998.
