Licensed by the 1984 Olympic Games, this limited-edition Mark V celebrates the XXIIIrd Olympiad with factory engraving and inlays. The hinged floorplate carries gold-inlaid scrollwork and the banner "XXIIIrd OLYMPIAD – 1984," complemented by a buttstock medallion bearing the LA84 logo and Olympic rings. This configuration and the 1 of 1,000 production make it a noteworthy Weatherby commemorative.

Built on the Mark V 9-lug magnum action, it uses a 54° bolt lift for fast cycling. The polished bolt body features longitudinal flutes and engine-turning. An internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate provides a 3+1 capacity, and a gold-colored trigger and two-position safety on the bolt shroud complete the classic Weatherby control layout.

The 24-inch barrel has a recessed crown and no iron sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped, with two-piece scope bases and Weatherby-marked rings installed. A Weatherby Supreme 3–9x44 scope with a duplex reticle is mounted, providing a ready-to-use optics setup aligned with the rifle’s period-correct presentation.

Stocked in deluxe walnut, the Monte Carlo profile includes a right-hand cheekpiece and crisp skip-line checkering. Accents include a rosewood forend tip with spacer, a rosewood grip cap with diamond inlay, and a ventilated recoil pad with a white-line spacer. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches. High-polish bluing and markings of "SOUTH GATE CALIF. MADE IN JAPAN" and "MARK V U.S.

PATENT NO. 3,013,355" identify its Japan-marked Howa-era production.

Chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum, this rifle combines a high-polish blued receiver and barrel with a fitted leather sling and the commemorative embellishments that define the series. The overall presentation, mounted scope, and excellent bore condition support both display and field readiness.
