Receiver markings read "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3," aligning this rifle with Remington’s WWII production. The metal shows a consistent gray-green Parkerized finish typical of late-war U.S. service rifles.
The barrel is marked "R A" with a flaming bomb and "3-44," denoting a Remington-produced replacement barrel dated March 1944. The 24-inch barrel exhibits an excellent, mirror-bright bore with sharp rifling.
The walnut stock and matching handguard present full military configuration. Markings include the crossed-cannon Ordnance wheel, FJA inspector stamp, circled OA, and a circled P proof. Small parts show Remington "R" stamps, and the rifle retains its stamped trigger guard/floorplate along with bands, swivels, and a bayonet lug.
Operation is the correct cock-on-open design with dual front locking lugs. The rifle uses a 5-round internal box magazine and is stripper-clip capable. Length of pull measures 12.75 inches.
No iron sights are currently installed. The front sight base remains, and an external-adjustment target scope with micrometer mounts is included with the sale but is not installed.
