The upper uses a slick-side configuration that deletes the forward assist while retaining the ejection-port cover and case deflector. A flat-top Picatinny rail runs along the receiver for mounting optics or sights, and the rifle ships without sights installed. The barrel is threaded and fitted with a multi-port brake/compensator.
The free-float ATLAS S-ONE-style handguard measures approximately 15 inches, with M-LOK slots and a deleted center top rail section for a streamlined feel. This setup promotes rigidity and accessory placement flexibility while keeping weight in check.
The Aero Precision X15 Gen 2 lower includes a flared magwell for smoother reloads, a nylon-tipped upper-tensioning screw to fine-tune receiver fit, and a threaded rear takedown-pin detent hole. This rifle also includes a quick-release rear takedown pin for rapid field access.
The rifle is finished in Flat Dark Earth across the upper, lower, and handguard, paired with a black buffer tube. It includes a collapsible FDE polymer stock and matching FDE AR-15 pistol grip. The configuration is noted as state compliant.
