The PS90 uses a bullpup layout to achieve an overall length of approximately 26.3 in while retaining a 16.04 in barrel. Downward ejection and fully ambidextrous controls support left- or right-shouldered use, and ambidextrous charging handles are standard.
The barrel is cold hammer-forged to MIL-SPEC with a 1:9 in right-hand twist. The semi-automatic, straight blowback, closed-bolt action is purpose-built for the 5.7x28mm cartridge.
Feeding is via a translucent, top-mounted 50-round magazine that rotates cartridges roughly 90 degrees into the chamber. This configuration offers high on-board capacity with clear visual confirmation of remaining rounds.
The receiver features a single MIL-STD-1913 "high" top rail with no side rails, ready for mounting compatible accessories along the top. The black polymer integral thumbhole stock includes sling loops for carry options.
Factory markings include "PS90 cal 5.7x28" and molded "Fabrique Nationale Herstal BELGIUM / FN COLUMBIA SC."
