    What's Included

    • Smith & Wesson factory blue cardboard box with matching serial-numbered end label

The Model 60 no-dash represents Smith & Wesson’s early stainless Chief’s Special variant. This example is a five-shot J-frame chambered in .38 Special with a 2.125 inch pinned stainless barrel, aligning with desirable pinned-barrel era features from 1974-1975 production.

Construction is all stainless with a polished finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. It has a round-butt grip frame fitted with factory checkered walnut Magna stocks that wear S&W medallions. The revolver uses a smooth-face trigger and an exposed, checkered hammer spur, configured for double-action/single-action operation.

Sights are fixed, with an integral ramp front featuring a red insert and a fixed topstrap groove at the rear. Controls include a checkered cylinder release and an unshrouded, knurled ejector rod, consistent with the period-correct configuration.

Factory markings are present, including "MOD. 60" on the yoke cut, "38 S.&W. SPL." on the barrel, the S&W trademark on the left frame, and "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS." on the right frame. Origin is the United States, and provenance is supported by the original blue box with matching label; a warranty slip dated 11/9/74 is shown in the images.
