The MPX PCC is configured as a 16-inch carbine with an extended free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard and a 1913 Picatinny rail on the upper receiver with an additional short 1913 section at the front of the handguard; the remainder of the handguard top is smooth M-LOK (not a continuous rail).
It operates from a locked-bolt, short-stroke gas-piston system and closed-bolt action. This setup is noted in the MPX line and is uncommon among pistol-caliber carbines, offering a distinctive operating system within the category.
The hammer-forged, threaded barrel features a 1:10 twist and is paired with a 3-port muzzle brake/compensator. The configuration supports effective barrel life and controllability while maintaining the PCC's compact handling characteristics.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety, magazine release, and bolt catch. The flat-faced trigger provides a modern control interface. The receiver is aluminum alloy and the carbine is manufactured in the United States.
