The 10/22 Carbine uses a reliable semi-automatic blowback action with right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety. The polymer trigger guard housing and aluminum-alloy receiver keep weight down while maintaining strength.
The stainless-steel barrel is tapered with a plain, non-threaded crown. Ruger’s V-block barrel attachment allows user-replaceable barrels, supporting straightforward barrel swaps.
Iron sights include a front blade and a barrel-mounted folding rear sight for a clear sight picture. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a scope base if a glass sighting option is desired.
The black synthetic stock features molded checkering, a barrel band, a front sling swivel stud, and a Ruger-logo buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.25 inches for a comfortable, carbine-style fit.
Capacity is 10+1 rounds of .22 LR, fed by the flush-fitting older-style aluminum-body Ruger 10-round rotary magazine. Factory configuration is complemented by the stainless/silver finish on the barrel and receiver.
