What’s Included
- Browning BLR First Model (Pre-Model '81) lever-action rifle, .308 Win
- Two 4-round detachable steel magazines (early-pattern for first-model BLR)
The first-model BLR stands out for its rotating, multi-lug bolt operated by a rack-and-pinion lever system, offering positive lockup while retaining classic lever-action handling. This example is chambered in .308 Win with a 4+1 capacity via a detachable box magazine.
The 20 inch blued barrel uses a barrel band and is paired with practical iron sights: a ramped blade front with bead and a folding rear sight. The top of the receiver has anti-glare serrations. The barrel is marked "CALIBER .308 ONLY" and "PATENT PENDING."
The walnut furniture includes a pistol-grip stock and matching handguard, both with cut checkering for a secure hold. A ventilated recoil pad with a white-line spacer and a 13.5 inch length of pull complete the stock setup.
Side ejection provides clear clearance for spent cases. As a 1970 production first-model BLR, this rifle reflects the early configuration of the series before the later Model '81 changes.
Two early-pattern 4-round steel magazines are included. These are the detachable box magazines designed for the first-model BLR.
