This single-action percussion open-top revolver follows the classic 1851 Navy pattern with a 7.5-inch octagonal barrel and a loading lever featuring a plunger and latch. It holds six rounds and uses a pinned brass bead front sight for a clean sight picture.
The barrel address reads "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY" with decorative dashes, and the cylinder carries the Colt naval engagement roll-engraving with a "COLT'S PATENT" panel. Safety pins are present between the nipples on the cylinder, consistent with period-correct features.
Barrel and cylinder finish are high-polish blue/black. The frame, hammer, and loading lever display color case-hardening. The bright-finished grip frame pairs with a one-piece walnut grip in a gloss finish for an authentic look and feel.
As part of Colt's 2nd Generation Blackpowder Series, this revolver exhibits the series-correct markings and finishes, with serial number 34135 on the frame, barrel lug, and cylinder; the butt/grip frame is numbered 195. The included unengraved in-the-white spare cylinder, complete with installed nipples, adds practical utility and collectibility alongside the original box and manual.
