What’s Included
- 1x 10-round detachable rotary magazine (Ruger 77/22, .22 LR)
The 77/22 RS was Ruger's open-sight variant, and this example comes from the model’s earliest production era, with the serial range suggesting a first-year shipment around 1984. The receiver is rollmarked "RUGER 77/22," and the barrel is marked ".22 L.R. CAL."
The action uses a twin-lug bolt and a centerfire-style manual of arms, supported by a three-position safety. The 20-inch sporter-contour barrel is retained by a V-block. The alloy steel receiver includes Ruger’s integral scope-ring bases for straightforward scope mounting.
Feeding is via a detachable, flush-fitting rotary magazine, with a 10+1 capacity. It is compatible with Ruger 10/22 BX-1 magazines, which also seat flush in the 77/22; only extended 10/22 magazines (e.g., BX-15/BX-25) will protrude. One 10-round rotary magazine is included.
The American walnut stock features cut checkering at the grip and forend, sling-swivel studs, and black grip cap and buttplate, each with Ruger medallions. The stock has a polyurethane finish and a 13.75-inch length of pull, giving it a classic look and comfortable handling.
As noted under Condition, a factory front sight is installed; a rear sight is not visible in the photos.
