The P7M8 uses a gas-delayed blowback, striker-fired action that delivers a smooth recoil impulse and consistent cycling. Its fixed 4.1-inch barrel with polygonal rifling and a fluted chamber supports reliable extraction and strong on-target performance.
The squeeze-cocking frontstrap is the primary safety mechanism, enabling a ready-to-fire condition only while depressed and decocking instantly when released. The ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release is positioned at the trigger guard for intuitive operation.
Sight components are low-profile, screw-retained steel units: a fixed front blade and a square-notch rear that is drift-adjustable. The slide includes rear serrations and an anti-glare top rib to aid purchase and sight focus.
This example carries West German proof and import markings, including the Eagle/N nitro proof and Ulm stag antler, along with "MADE IN W.-GERMANY" and an HK CHANTILLY VA import mark.
