Built on the 1911 platform, this Talon II Bobtail uses a single-action-only, locked-breech, recoil-operated system. It carries a Commander-length 4.25 in match-grade barrel with a traditional bushing, paired with a GI-style recoil system and a checkered plug. The slide is cut with rear cocking serrations only and a full-length, anti-glare flat top, and it features a lowered and flared ejection port for consistent ejection.
The frame and slide wear a matte black finish. Ergonomics are tuned for control and carry with a bobtail mainspring housing, chain-link texturing on the front strap and MSH, and a beveled magazine well. Textured G10 grip panels with Nighthawk medallions complement the setup.
Sighting is handled by dovetailed Trijicon tritium 3-dot night sights. The front sight is marked H3 09, and the rear uses a 2-dot arrangement; the 2009 tritium date codes match the factory test target dated 11/5/09.
Controls include an extended single-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory pad. The fire-control group features a skeletonized Commander-style hammer and a skeletonized three-hole aluminum trigger with an overtravel-style design.
