This Smith & Wesson M&P-15 is a state-compliant, AR-15–pattern semi-auto chambered in 5.56 NATO with a 16 inch 4140 steel barrel and a 1:9 RH twist. It features a flat-top upper with a T-marked Picatinny rail, a pinned A2 front sight base with a Magpul MBUS flip-up rear sight installed, and an ambidextrous safety selector. The rifle includes a 10-round magazine for a 10+1 configuration and is finished in hard-coat anodized aluminum receivers.

The carbine-length gas system and direct-impingement action provide the classic M4-style handling on an AR-15 platform. The upper is equipped with a forward assist, ejection-port dust cover, and brass deflector, and is marked SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA MADE IN U.S.A.
The 16 inch 4140 steel barrel uses a 1:9 RH twist and is threaded at the muzzle with an A2 flash suppressor installed. The A2 front sight base is pinned to the barrel. The handguard is a carbine-length, two-piece M4-style polymer set retained by a delta ring.
Furniture includes a six-position collapsible polymer stock with a rear sling loop and an A2 polymer pistol grip. Length of pull is listed at 10.25 inches. The rifle accepts AR-15–pattern magazines and comes with one 10-round magazine for a 10+1 capacity.
This example is state compliant as configured and features an upgraded ambidextrous safety selector for left- or right-hand operation. The flat-top upper carries a T-marked Picatinny rail, and sighting is handled by the pinned A2 front and an installed Magpul MBUS flip-up rear.
Receivers are aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish. The rifle retains the classic AR control layout and includes the forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector as expected on this configuration.
