The GP1975 Sporter follows the proven AKM pattern with a stamped steel receiver, magwell dimples for magazine guidance, and a ribbed top cover. Riveted trunnions and a 45-degree gas block reflect classic AKM construction, while the rifle operates via a gas-operated, long-stroke piston with a rotating bolt.
Its 16.25-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a slant compensator. Sights are the traditional setup: a protected front post paired with a tangent rear, giving a familiar and durable aiming arrangement. The bore is clean and bright with sharp rifling.
Furniture is black polymer throughout, including a fixed TAPCO USA stock, TAPCO G2 single-stage fire-control group, upper and lower handguards, and a black polymer pistol grip. The length of pull measures 13.0 inches, and controls include the right-side selector lever.
This rifle is chambered in 7.62x39 with a 30+1 capacity. It comes with two steel AK-pattern detachable box magazines (one 30-round and one 20-round). Markings include CENTURY ARMS, INC. GEORGIA, VT, and the metal components have a medium gray finish with black polymer furniture.
