Made in Serbia by Zastava Arms, this ZPAPM70 uses a stamped receiver paired with an RPK-style bulged front trunnion for added rigidity in key areas. The smooth top cover and polished, in-the-white bolt carrier reflect classic Zastava machining and finish choices. Selector markings are SAFE/FIRE, and the safety lever includes a bolt-hold-open notch.
The 16.25-inch barrel is threaded and fitted with a thread protector retained by the front-sight-base detent. Sights are traditional AK pattern: a protected post up front and a tangent leaf rear sight graduated from 100 to 1000 meters. The action is a semi-automatic, gas-operated, piston-driven system with a rotating bolt.
Furniture is dark-stained wood with a fixed stock, rear sling swivel, and a checkered wood pistol grip. The wood handguard features three elongated vents. Custom decorative engraving adds distinctive character: an orange "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ" inscription on the lower handguard and an orange Spartan-helmet roundel motif on the buttstock.
Import and origin markings are present: "ZASTAVA ARMS USA DES PLAINES IL" and "ZASTAVA ARMS MADE IN SERBIA." Matching serials were observed on the receiver/trunnion and bolt carrier. The rifle is full-size with a 13.0-inch length of pull and a 30+1 capacity, and it ships with two 30-round magazines.
