The Mosquito pairs a fixed 3.9-inch barrel with a simple blowback, DA/SA action for reliable .22 LR operation. The alloy slide wears a Black Nitron finish and carries diagonal rear serrations, while the polymer frame keeps weight down and includes an integral accessory rail on the dust cover.
Controls and safety features are comprehensive: ambidextrous manual safety, magazine safety, an integral key-operated lock, and a decocking lever. The DA/SA trigger system supports both double-action and single-action use.
Sight alignment is straightforward with a front post featuring a dot and a square-notch rear. The barrel uses a 1:15 RH twist to stabilize typical .22 LR loads, and the open-sight setup is easy to read.
This example is marked "MOSQUITO" on the slide and includes German CIP proof marks, DE and "MADE IN GERMANY" markings, plus a SIGARMS INC EXETER NH import mark. The frame, slide, and chamber share matching serial numbers. Capacity is 10+1, and two 10-round single-stack magazines are included.
Designated as MOS-22-B, this model was produced in Germany under contract by GSG, with the platform later continuing as the GSG Firefly.
