This first-generation Anaconda is built on Colt’s MM-frame, a robust large-frame design intended for magnum revolver performance. It is a double-action/single-action revolver with a transfer bar safety system and a six-shot fluted cylinder. The cylinder uses Colt’s cylinder release latch and a knurled ejector-rod tip for positive operation.
The 6" one-piece stainless steel barrel features a full underlug and ventilated rib, enhancing balance and sight tracking. The topstrap is undrilled, preserving the factory configuration without scope-mount holes.
Sighting is precise and user-adjustable, with a fully adjustable rear sight paired to an orange-insert ramp front sight. The grips are finger-grooved black rubber with gold Colt medallions, providing a secure and comfortable hold.
