What’s Included
- P. Beretta S.55 12 Gauge over/under shotgun
The S.55 pairs traditional Beretta craftsmanship with practical field features. Its break-open, internal-hammer boxlock action is operated by a manual tang safety and two crisp, separate triggers. Chambers are 2-3/4 inches, and capacity is two rounds.
The barrels are built on a monobloc with the joint visible at the breech. Markings on the rib include "P. BERETTA – GARDONE V.T." and "CHROMIUM MOLYBDENUM ALLOY STEEL." Bore and choke metric stamps observed on one tube read 18.4 mm bore and 17.9 mm at the muzzle. A solid, matted, non-vent rib is topped with a front bead sight.
The receiver wears a coin (in-the-white) finish with the factory roll-mark legend: "PRIMA FABBRICA ITALIANA D’ARMI – PIETRO BERETTA – GARDONE V.T. – BRESCIA – MADE IN ITALY." Italian proof and inspection stamps are present on the monobloc, underscoring its Gardone Val Trompia origin.
Stock furniture is walnut with fine checkering, a pistol-grip profile, a slim field forend, sling swivels, and a checkered hard buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.5, and the neutral cast/neutral grip setup promotes a straightforward, centered mount for many shooters.
