What’s Included
- Remington Model 1911 R1 pistol
- 1x 8-round Wilson Combat 1911 steel magazine
- Aftermarket tan textured "golf-ball" pattern grip panels (installed)
The R1 configuration here is the classic Government-size 5-inch 1911 with a steel frame and slide finished in matte black. The slide uses rear cocking serrations only, and the ejection port is lowered and slightly flared to aid reliable ejection. Both front and rear sights are dovetailed and present a fixed 3-dot sight picture.
Chambered in .45 ACP, the barrel hood is marked ".45 AUTO" and incorporates a loaded-chamber witness hole. Internals follow a GI-style setup with a short guide rod, separate recoil spring plug, and a barrel bushing. The pistol operates single-action only and is equipped with a solid (non-skeletonized) trigger.
Controls are true to GI style, including a spur hammer, a non-beavertail grip safety, and a single-side thumb safety. The magazine release is standard. This straightforward control layout will feel familiar to 1911 users seeking a traditional pattern.
The installed aftermarket tan "golf-ball" textured grip panels provide a firm, tactile hold. A Wilson Combat-branded steel magazine is included and offers an 8-round capacity, giving the pistol an 8+1 overall capacity.
Markings and origin details include "REMINGTON ARMS CO., ILION, NY, USA" on the frame and an "ERPC" marking. The overall presentation is a clean, USA-made R1 with practical sights and classic 1911 features in a durable matte black finish.
