What’s Included
- Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine (.30-06)
This carbine configuration pairs a 22-inch round barrel with a compact, saddle ring setup and a barrel-band sling loop. The straight grip wood stock and carbine fore-end with grasping grooves provide the classic handling profile associated with this variant.
Open iron sights include a front sight mounted on a base and a barrel-mounted rear sight. The arrangement complements the carbine-length barrel for traditional sighting.
The stock features a steel carbine buttplate with trapdoor and a 12.75-inch length of pull. The wood furniture retains the period carbine details that define this model.
Winchester oval WP proofs appear on both the barrel and receiver. The left receiver wall is drilled and tapped in a pattern consistent with a period side-mounted receiver sight, though no sight is installed. Manufacture in the United States in 1915 adds clear historical context for collectors.
Chambered in .30-06 with a 4+1 capacity and a lever action, this Model 1895 presents the notable features that set the saddle ring carbine apart within the 1895 line.
