The Gold Hunter uses Browning’s Active Valve gas system to manage a wide range of loads. It features right-side ejection and a cross-bolt safety with a red indicator. Capacity is 2+1.
The 28 inch blued barrel has a vent rib with a single front bead and is marked Patents Pending. It is cut for the Invector-Plus choke system and comes fitted with a flush Improved Cylinder choke. The chamber accepts both 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells.
The matte black receiver carries Gold Hunter in gold script and a gold-colored trigger, with Buckmark logo accents. The walnut stock and forend have cut checkering, and the gun is fitted with a black ventilated Browning recoil pad. Length of pull is 14.25 inches.
Markings include Browning Arms Company Morgan, Utah & Montreal P.Q., Made in Belgium – Assembled in Portugal. This configuration aligns with 1990s production of the Gold series and reflects the Belgium manufacture with Portugal assembly noted on the gun.
