The barrel is marked "Remington Arms Co. Ilion, NY," and the chamber is marked 12 GA 2 3/4" or 3". This setup delivers a true 3 inch chamber, and the receiver’s serial suffix "M" further denotes its 3 inch magnum capability. The choke configuration is also described as a Breech Brake Flash Hider/Cyl Choke.
The receiver wears a durable tan finish and carries the Remington 870 Tactical roll mark. It is drilled and tapped at the factory and fitted with filler screws. The steel receiver is paired with a polymer trigger guard, and controls include a cross-bolt safety. Sighting is straightforward via a front bead set on a short ramp; there is no rear sight.
Key custom features are installed and ready for use. The Surefire Pump Weapon Light (SureFire weaponlight forend) integrates illumination directly into the synthetic forend for immediate activation. A RedHead elastic buttstock shell carrier (shell saddle) provides on-board ammunition. A barrel/magazine clamp with sling-mount provision provides a forward sling-mount interface; no swivel/stud is included. A Knoxx buttpad is installed at the rear.
This Tactical model uses a black synthetic fixed stock with molded texture and a length of pull of 13.75 inches. The extended tubular magazine provides a 7+1 capacity. The overall configuration emphasizes dependable operation and practical handling with 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells.
