Controls and handling are set up for practical use, including a skeletonized shell lifter, an enlarged cylindrical fluted charging handle, a cross-bolt safety, and right-side ejection. Capacity is 5+1 with the standard-length magazine tube and a knurled magazine cap, as specified for this first-generation configuration.
Sighting is handled by a factory ghost-ring rear and a protected front post. A short MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail section is mounted on top of the receiver. The aluminum alloy receiver wears a matte black finish, matched to the black polymer fixed stock and fore-end with checkering and a rear sling stud. Marked “Made in Italy,” this 1301 Tactical retains the classic Gen 1 setup with a 13.0 length of pull.
