The XC uses Staccato's 2011 full-size platform with a steel frame and an aggressive-texture modular grip for secure handling. It is a semi-automatic, single-action-only pistol with a skeletonized trigger, along with thumb and grip safeties.
Its 5 in integrated compensated island barrel carries the fiber-optic front sight on the island, paired with an adjustable black rear sight. The slide is machined with rear serrations, lightening windows, and port cuts.
The Dawson Precision tool-less guide-rod system is included from the factory. Capacity is 20+1 with the supplied 20-round double-stack magazines.
Markings include an American flag engraving on the right side of the frame, 20★11 branding on the dustcover, and a "FLORENCE, TX USA" manufacturing mark. The serial is observed on both the frame and the barrel, and the package includes a factory test-fire target with matching serial.
