The A400 Xtreme Plus platform pairs Beretta’s B-Link gas system and rotating bolt with right-side ejection for smooth, reliable cycling. An enlarged, serrated charging handle and enlarged bolt-release button provide easy operation in the field.
Its 28 in Steelium Plus tri-alloy steel barrel features a cold hammer forged, HP tapered bore with an extended triple-cone forcing cone. Bore specification is 18.6 mm. The Optima-Choke HP system is steel-shot-rated, and this shotgun is currently fitted with a Modified choke.
The camo synthetic stock integrates Beretta’s Kick-Off recoil-reduction system, a soft comb insert, soft-touch grip inserts, a rubber recoil pad, and a rear sling swivel stud. Length of pull is 14.5.
Sighting is quick and consistent with a ventilated stepped rib, a red fiber-optic front bead, and a red mid-bead. Capacity is 3+1. Proof marks include "BERETTA – GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY," "12 Ga. 89 mm PLUS," "18.6 HP TAPERED," and "IT21."
