The GI Standard CS configuration delivers a compact Officer-size profile with a short slide and 3.5 in barrel. Controls are classic 1911: single-action operation, a manual thumb safety, a grip safety, a short solid trigger, and a standard checkered magazine release. An arched A1 mainspring housing and a GI wide-spur hammer complete the traditional setup.
Construction features include a cast 4140 steel frame paired to a forged 4140 steel slide for durability. The barrel is button-rifled. The overall finish is matte dark gray/black on both frame and slide.
Sighting equipment is GI-style and fixed, with a small blade front and a small square-notch rear. The slide carries rear-only vertical serrations for traction. Factory roll marks include the Rock Island Armory crest and "ROCK ISLAND ARMORY" on the left slide, "M1911-A1" on the right frame, and "CAL .45 ACP" on the barrel hood. An APINTL–PAHRUMP NV PHILIPPINES import mark is present, and the pistol was manufactured in the Philippines by Armscor.
Grips are black checkered panels with double-diamond escutcheons, and this example has a wrap-around rubber finger-groove sleeve installed. It uses a single-stack detachable box magazine and is accompanied by three 7-round magazines plus one 13-round extended magazine; one magazine is stamped Chip McCormick Custom LLC.
