The Gen4 enhancements are central to this pistol’s appeal. The rough textured frame with finger grooves provides a secure hold, while the Modular Back Strap (MBS) capability allows grip size adjustment with Glock backstraps (not included). An enlarged magazine catch improves reload ergonomics.
The 4.02-inch cold hammer forged barrel features polygonal rifling, a hallmark of Glock barrels, contributing to a smooth, bright bore. The slide wears a matte black finish with rear serrations and an external extractor.
Sights are the standard fixed polymer set with a white-dot front and white-outline U-notch rear, offering a familiar Glock sight picture. A standard single-slot accessory rail on the dust cover supports compatible weapon lights or accessories.
This compact .40 S&W format mirrors the dimensions of the Glock 19, yielding a balance of carryability and capacity. Austrian manufacture is indicated by slide/frame markings and adjacent proof/inspection stamps, and the Glock 23 platform saw wide issuance with U.S. law enforcement through the 1990s–2010s.
Safety systems include a trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safety, and the striker-fired action delivers the consistent operation expected from the Gen4 series.
