What’s Included
- Winchester Model 70 bolt-action rifle as described
The rifle is a New Haven, CT rollmarked Model 70 from the pre-2006 era, chambered in .300 WSM. It uses an internal magazine with a hinged floorplate and a stated 3+1 capacity, with the magazine released via the floorplate latch.
The 24 inch tapered sporter barrel wears a matte silver finish and is cleanly configured with no iron sights and no muzzle threads. The receiver has a dark finish and is drilled and tapped for scope bases; no bases are installed.
It is fitted with an aftermarket composite stock showing a gray/black mottled, carbon-fiber-style pattern. The stock includes a fixed, non-adjustable cheekpiece, a LimbSaver recoil pad, and both front and rear sling swivel studs. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
The action features a spiral-fluted bolt body and an enlarged, knurled bolt knob. Safety is via the Model 70's three-position wing safety on the bolt shroud. Overall configuration and finishes are consistent with a practical, New Haven-era Model 70 built in the United States.
