Authorized by HK and built in Germany by Umarex, this MP5 .22 LR retains the familiar look and handling of the platform while using affordable rimfire ammunition. The rifle carries German CIP proof marks on the bolt, has the import mark from Heckler & Koch Inc., Columbus GA, and is marked MADE IN GERMANY BY UMAREX. The serial number is repeated on the bolt and receiver.
The 16 in barrel is enclosed by a long cylindrical, faux suppressor-style shroud that preserves the MP5 silhouette. Its semi-automatic, straight blowback action is paired with a user-adjustable bolt-speed feature to fine-tune cycling for different loads.
Controls and furniture are true to the pattern: a left-side non-reciprocating charging handle, a two-position safety selector with pictograph SAFE/FIRE markings, and a retractable, telescoping A3-style stock. The stock uses a polymer butt with metal guide rods. A wide “tropical” ribbed polymer handguard that fully encloses the cocking tube completes the classic profile.
