This DPMS Panther Arms LR-308 combines the proven LR-308/DPMS-SR-25 pattern with purposeful upgrades. It features a 16-inch threaded barrel with a birdcage flash hider, a flat-top upper with a full-length Picatinny rail, and a railed gas block. Notable custom touches include a Windham Weaponry 6-position telescoping stock and a clamp-on, barrel-mounted bipod. It ships with two 20-round steel magazines and carries St. Cloud, Minnesota manufacturer markings.
Built on an aluminum-alloy receiver set with a matte black anodized finish, this .308 Win semi-auto uses a direct-impingement system and standard AR-style controls, including a manual safety selector and ejection port cover. The two-piece, carbine-length polymer handguards and A2-style polymer pistol grip keep the controls familiar and serviceable.
The 16-inch barrel uses a 1:10 twist and is threaded at the muzzle with a birdcage flash hider installed. The flat-top upper receiver provides a full-length Picatinny rail, and the gas block is railed. No iron sights are installed, allowing the user to configure the sighting system of their choice.
Custom elements set this example apart. The Windham Weaponry 6-position polymer stock offers an adjustable length of pull of approximately 11.5 to 14.75 inches. A clamp-on, barrel-mounted bipod is installed for supported shooting. Two 20-round DPMS/SR-25-pattern steel magazines are included, matching the rifle’s 20+1 capacity.
