Built by Israeli Military Industries, the Hadar II S.A. is a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston rifle chambered in .308 Win. This sporter configuration was produced for the commercial market and is derived from IMI’s 7.62 mm Galil/Galatz system. U.S. importation was limited around 1989, and this example bears the correct Action Arms barrel import mark along with IMI–ISRAEL origin markings on the receiver and sight base.
The rifle uses an 18.5 inch unthreaded barrel with a plain crown and a gas system housing that shows three forward vent holes. It feeds from detachable box magazines and has a 20+1 capacity. The right-side reciprocating charging handle features a knurled knob for positive manipulation.
Factory iron sights include a triangular front sight tower and a triangular rear sight tower mounted on the receiver cover. The hardwood stock uses a thumbhole layout with a Monte Carlo comb, a ventilated rubber recoil pad, and installed sling swivels. Length of pull measures 14.5 inches.
The receiver is steel with a matte finish that matches the rifle’s overall presentation. Markings include “ACTION ARMS LTD. PHILA. PA.” on the barrel and “IMI–ISRAEL” on the receiver and sight base, aligning with the model’s import history and Israeli manufacture.
