Controls are set up for efficient handling: an oversize tang safety, knurled charging handle, oversize bolt release, and an enlarged, beveled loading port with an elongated elevator and anodized orange follower. These factory enhancements support quick, confident operation.
The sighting setup is straightforward and bright, with an LPA red fiber-optic front sight. The receiver top is drilled and tapped with three plug screws, and the finish is matte blue on both receiver and barrel.
Durability and accessory compatibility are built in. The piston, magazine tube, hammer, and sear receive a nickel-boron treatment. At the magazine end, an M-LOK accessory adapter/clamp provides side slots and a short bottom Picatinny rail; the magazine cap is knurled. The textured polymer forend includes a strap, and the Aftershock birds-head grip incorporates a rubberized palm insert. Approximate weight is 6 lb.
