What's Included
- Colt Modelo 1927 Ejército Argentino Hartford Contract .45 ACP pistol
- Two 7-round single-stack steel magazines (one with lanyard-loop floorplate)
Produced in Hartford for Argentina under the "Ejército Argentino" contract, this pistol is one of approximately 10,000 made in 1927–1928. The right side of the slide bears the Argentine Army legend, noted here as faint. Country of origin is the United States.
It follows the Government-size M1911A1 pattern with an arched mainspring housing, short trigger, and a wide-spur checkered hammer. The slide has vertical cocking serrations and a non-lowered ejection port. Sights are fixed GI pattern with a staked front blade and a fixed rear notch. Grips are checkered wood, and the steel frame/receiver setup uses single-action-only operation with both a thumb safety and grip safety.
Argentine top-of-slide component numbering is present. The barrel number matches this system, while the frame does not match that component number. This numbering practice is characteristic of Argentine service and inspection protocols of the era.
Chambered in .45 ACP with a 5" barrel and a 7+1 capacity, this full-size 1911 platform served as the reference pattern for later DGFM-FMAP "Sistema Colt" Modelo 1927 production. Two 7-round magazines are included, one featuring a lanyard-loop floorplate.
