The G1 Easy-Open frame uses the trigger-guard spur opener for fast, positive action cycling and features an external hammer with a rimfire/centerfire selector. The adjustable trigger supports precise shooting and is paired with a robust steel frame and receiver.
The factory 10-inch .45 Colt/.410 barrel includes a ventilated rib and a removable straight-rifled choke, giving the shooter the correct setup for .410 shotshell use while retaining .45 Colt capability. Sights are mounted on the barrel: a ramped front blade and a screw-adjustable rear sight.
Factory scrollwork decorates both frame flats, highlighted by an etched big-cat (cougar) head motif, adding distinctive visual appeal to the blued steel finish. The interchangeable barrel system allows the frame to accept other Contender barrels (sold separately), with sights remaining barrel-mounted for consistency.
Aftermarket Pachmayr rubber furniture, including the pistol grip with gold P medallions and the matching fore-end, provides a secure, recoil-absorbing hold. This single-shot, break-action platform is built around a 1-round capacity and straightforward operation.
