- Three-prong flash hider (installed)
The RDB-17 employs a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt, paired with a downward-ejecting layout. This configuration keeps ejection away from the shooter and supports ambidextrous use. An adjustable gas regulator lets the user fine-tune operation for different loads and conditions.
The 17.3-inch nitrided steel barrel is threaded and fitted with a three-prong flash hider. The action is fed via standard STANAG/AR-pattern magazines, and capacity is 30+1. A left-side charging handle and a manual safety round out the core controls.
Furniture includes a durable polymer frame and stock with an integrated rear sling loop and a rubber buttpad. Length of pull is approximately 14.5 inches. The rifle features a custom Aluminum M-LOK handguard installed, adding modern accessory mounting on a rigid aluminum interface.
A T-marked Picatinny rail section on the handguard provides forward mounting space; the receiver top is smooth/unrailed, so there is no continuous top rail. Overall length is approximately 27.3 inches, with an overall weight around 6.7–6.9 pounds, offering a compact bullpup profile made in the USA.
