The SOCOM 16 CQB variant delivers a compact, maneuverable M1A built on the M14-pattern short-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt. This example is finished in Parkerized steel and is marked on the heel "US RIFLE M1A SPRINGFIELD ARMORY" with "SOCOM 16 CQB" on the left receiver rail.
Its 16.25 in carbon steel barrel wears the Springfield SOCOM multi-port muzzle brake and is stamped ".308." Rifling is 1:11 in right-hand with six grooves, matching the SOCOM specification for stabilizing a wide range of .308 Win loads.
The rifle is set into an Archangel CQB synthetic chassis featuring a molded U.S. flag, a black polymer AR-style telescoping buttstock, and a pistol grip. The 5-position stock provides an adjustable length of pull of approximately 11.5–14.5 in to suit different shooters and setups.
For aiming and accessories, it includes an adjustable ghost-ring rear sight with windage and elevation drums and a front post protected by sturdy ears. A barrel-mounted forward Picatinny scout rail and forend accessory rail sections at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions provide mounting space, with an angled foregrip installed on the bottom rail.
Chambered in .308 Win with a 20+1 capacity, this M1A SOCOM 16 CQB comes with both 20- and 10-round steel magazines. Made in the USA, it ships with the original box and the U.S. Army M14/M14E2 technical manual for added reference and context.
