Produced in Japan by Nikko Kodensha, this Mark XXII reflects the 1970s Weatherby style and markings: "South Gate, Calif. Made in Japan" and "U.S. Patent 3,155,004." The rifle uses a 24-inch slim sporter barrel and a satin-blued steel receiver, delivering the clean, refined look associated with this era of production.

The high-gloss walnut stock showcases hallmark Weatherby details including a Monte Carlo comb, skip-line checkering, rosewood forend tip and grip cap with white diamond inlay, contrasting white spacers, and a black/white-line butt spacer. A Weatherby recoil pad and quick-detach sling studs are fitted. Length of pull measures 13.75 inches.

Operating on a semi-automatic blowback system, this variant feeds from a detachable box magazine (10+1 capacity). It includes two stamped steel 10-round single-stack magazines. The left-side bolt handle with a round knob provides familiar handling for the platform.

Sighting options include a ramped front sight, with rear sight configuration varying by setup. The mounted Bushnell Custom .22 3-7x scope (duplex reticle) on period-style bases complements the rifle’s rimfire role, adding practical magnification while preserving a period-correct appearance.
