The 500 Cruiser configuration delivers a compact, maneuverable pump-action 12 gauge with a synthetic pistol grip and a synthetic ribbed fore-end. The ambidextrous tang-mounted manual safety is easy to access from either hand, and the front sight is a brass-colored bead with no rear sight.
The 20 inch barrel is Cyl Bore and paired to a 3" Chamber, accepting both 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. Feeding is via a fixed tubular magazine with a stated 5+1 capacity. The perforated steel barrel heat shield adds protection over the barrel.
The receiver wears a matte black hard-coat anodized finish, while the barrel (and magazine tube) are matte blued. Sighting is straightforward with a front bead only. Furniture includes a synthetic pistol grip with molded checkering and a synthetic ribbed fore-end.
Markings include "Mossberg North Haven, CT U.S.A. 500 12 GA." on the receiver. Barrel and heat-shield rollmarks note the chambering along with an Eagle Pass, TX warning address. A circular inspection stamp is present adjacent to the serial number.
Built in the United States, this full-size pump-action retains the familiar Mossberg 500 control layout and profile in a Cruiser configuration.
