The MK18 format centers on a 10.3-inch 5.56 NATO barrel with a threaded muzzle and A2-style flash hider. This pistol uses a direct-impingement operating system on the AR-15 platform and features a flat-top upper with forward assist and ejection-port cover. The upper receiver shows the forging mark "A," and the receiver is marked "MODEL DDM4" and "CAL. MULTI."
The handguard is the Daniel Defense MK18 RIS II free-float quad rail in FDE, approximately 9.55 inches long and machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. It uses the DD 6-bolt Bolt-Up system and provides a continuous top rail for uninterrupted mounting surfaces. Ladder-style Picatinny rail cover panels are installed for added grip and protection.
Sights consist of non-folding, rail-mounted iron sights, providing a durable fixed option front and rear. Controls include an extended ambidextrous charging handle for easier manipulation. The grip is a textured polymer pistol grip with the Daniel Defense pattern, and the magazine interface is STANAG-compatible.
This pistol configuration is built on a fixed pistol receiver extension and fitted with an SB Tactical pistol stabilizing brace. It is finished in FDE and made in the USA. Capacity is 32+1 with the included Daniel Defense 32-round polymer magazine.
