The MK116 MOD 1-M is built on an AR-15 pattern upper with a forward assist, brass deflector, and dust cover. The receiver set and handguard feature an anodized finish, and the PWS circular logo appears on the handguard clamp block. Safety selector markings are clearly notched SAFE/FIRE.
Its long-stroke gas piston system uses a three-position adjustable gas regulator, giving the shooter control over gas settings. The 16-inch barrel with a 1:10 twist is threaded and fitted with a multi-port flash hider.
The PWS free-float 15.0-inch aluminum M-LOK handguard offers M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, along with a continuous 1913 top rail that runs across the receiver and handguard. No sights are included, allowing the user to configure the rifle as desired.
Furniture and controls are practical and robust. A collapsible, adjustable stock rides on a fluted carbine receiver extension with a ratcheting castle-nut/endplate assembly. The installed Radian Raptor-LT ambidextrous charging handle enhances handling. Stated capacity is 30+1, and BCM branding is visible on a component.
