The Echelon’s factory 5.28 inch threaded barrel is hammer-forged steel, Melonite-treated, and cut 1/2x28. A fluted thread protector is included from the factory, adding practical protection with distinctive helical machining.
Springfield’s Variable Interface System (VIS) is machined into the slide, allowing direct mounting of compatible pistol optics. The slide includes an optics-ready cut with a removable cover plate and aggressive front and rear serrations. Tall 3-dot iron sights with a white-dot front and rear provide a clear sight picture.
At the core is the Central Operating Group (COG), a removable serialized stainless-steel chassis. This design pairs with a black polymer grip frame and interchangeable wrap-around backstraps, and this example includes an additional Olive Drab Green grip module to tailor fit and feel.
Controls include ambidextrous slide stop levers and a flat-faced, striker-fired trigger with an integrated trigger safety. A full-length 1913/Picatinny accessory rail with four slots is molded into the dust cover for mounting lights or other accessories. The pistol maintains a full-size profile with an approximate unloaded weight of 24.5 oz and an overall length of about 8.8 inches.
Chambered in 9mm Luger with a 20+1 capacity, this Echelon is manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia and imported/marketed by Springfield Armory. The slide and barrel wear a durable black Melonite finish to match the black frame.
