It features the flat-faced M2.0 trigger with tactile and audible reset, aggressive grip texture with interchangeable palm-swell backstraps, and an ambidextrous slide stop. Made in the United States, this example comes with two 15-round magazines, the S&W optics adapter screw and plate kit, and an installed Streamlight TLR-7A.

The M&P9 M2.0 Compact Optics Ready configuration delivers a balanced 4.0-inch barrel length with a compact grip that accepts 15-round magazines. The slide and barrel wear S&W's Armornite finish for corrosion and wear resistance, while the polymer frame keeps weight down and durability high.
The factory optics-ready slide comes with a cover plate installed and this pistol includes the S&W M&P M2.0 C.O.R.E. screw and plate kit for mounting compatible red-dot footprints. Dovetailed steel sights are installed from the factory.
Ergonomics and control are central to the M2.0 design. This model uses the flat-faced M2.0 trigger with a tactile, audible reset. The grip frame features the aggressive M2.0 texture and interchangeable palm-swell backstraps to fine-tune hand fit. It also incorporates an extended embedded steel chassis for added rigidity.
Controls include an ambidextrous slide stop and a left-side magazine release. This No Thumb Safety model is capable of firing with the magazine removed (no magazine disconnect). A frame accessory rail is present, and this pistol comes with a Streamlight TLR-7A compact weapon light installed.
