This Deluxe-grade Model 1500 was manufactured by Howa Machinery for Smith & Wesson, reflecting Japanese craftsmanship from the 1980s production era. The action features an engine-turned (jeweled) bolt body, a hallmark of the Deluxe series.
The stock is select, gloss-finished walnut with a Monte Carlo comb and cheekpiece. Skip-line checkering provides secure purchase, and the pistol-grip cap carries the S&W medallion. Sling swivel studs are factory installed, and the length of pull measures 13.5 in.
The rifle is fitted with a 22 in blued sporter-contour barrel capped by a recessed crown. It has no iron sights, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases.
Feeding is via a 5-round internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate and integrated release.
