This M&P15-22P uses a semi-automatic blowback action chambered in .22 LR and retains familiar AR-15 pattern controls. It includes an ambidextrous safety selector, an AR-style charging handle, and a left-side bolt catch for intuitive handling.
The pistol sports an 8-inch threaded barrel capped with an A2-style flash hider. The threaded muzzle and compact barrel length give this rimfire AR-style pistol a versatile configuration in a small footprint.
A free-float style polymer handguard with M-LOK slots runs forward of the receiver. A continuous full-length top Picatinny rail provides consistent mounting space, and an accessory rail section at 6 o'clock sits under the handguard. Flip-up polymer front and rear sights are installed.
Construction features include polymer upper and lower receivers with a matte black finish and a pistol receiver extension with no stock. Capacity is 25+1 with the included factory magazine, and the pistol is manufactured in the United States.
