The 1301 Tactical uses Beretta's B-Link gas system with a rotating bolt for rapid, reliable cycling; the bolt is marked "BLINK." The steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged, back-bored, and threaded for the Optima-Choke HP system. A CYL choke is installed and an IC tube is included. It is chambered for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells and feeds from a full-length 7+1 tubular magazine.
Sighting is through a protected front post and an adjustable ghost-ring rear, providing a fast and clear sight picture. A receiver-top Picatinny rail is installed for mounting compatible optics or accessories as needed.
The shotgun features a black polymer field stock (non-pistol-grip) with a sling attachment point at the toe, plus a matching polymer forend. An enlarged bolt handle offers positive control. Length of pull is 13.0 inches.
